Paul Clement offered two-and-a-half year deal at struggling Swansea City and is expected to be appointed manager on Tuesday

Paul Clement is expected to be appointed as Swansea City manager on Tuesday.

Sportsmail understands he has been offered a two-and-a-half year deal at the Premier League’s bottom-placed club, though it is unlikely he will be in the dugout for Tuesday’s game at Crystal Palace.

Club sources have indicated all major terms have been agreed in principal with the Bayern Munich assistant manager, who is expected to arrive in London on Monday evening to wrap up discussions. The hierarchy at Swansea believe the move will be completed late on Monday or more likely on Tuesday, in time for Clement to take a watching brief at Palace.
