Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud remains defiant that his spectacular scorpion kick against Crystal Palace on New Year's Day was better than Andy Carroll's acrobatic effort against the same team.
Giroud was pipped to the January goal of the month award by the West Ham striker and it has clearly left a sour taste in his mouth.

He told Le Journal du Dimanche: 'I don't want to big myself up, but goals like mine leave a mark on history because they're rare.
