Yaya Toure will stay put at Manchester City for at least another season after signing a one-year contract extension on Thursday.
The explosive midfielder appeared to be on the way out at the Etihad Stadium after starting Pep Guardiola's tenure warming the bench.
Toure, however, muscled his way back into contention and was a vital part of City's fight to reach next year's Champions League, a feat achieved on the last day of the season as they sealed third place.
