OFFICIAL: Oxford leaves West Ham for Reading loan

The highly-rated centre-back has joined Jaap Stam's side on a temporary deal as he aims for regular football with the promotion-chasing side

West Ham starlet Reece Oxford has left the Hammers and moved to Championship side Reading on loan for the rest of the season.

The youngster has been linked with a move to several top clubs in the past after becoming West Ham’s youngest ever player when he made his debut at just 16 years and 198 days.

However, the 18-year-old committed his future to the Hammers by signing a new four-and-a-half-year deal at the club back in December, which has dampened speculation.
