Nottingham Forest expect to confirm the signing of Danilo from Palmeiras for £18m plus add-ons despite a rival offer from Monaco.
Danilo would become Forest's second signing of the January transfer window, following the addition of attacking midfielder Gustavo Scarpa.
The Brazilian is expected to travel to England to complete a medical, before finalising his move.
