The Premier League must push back their plans for Project Restart even if it means paying huge refunds to the likes of Sky and BT, a leading football safety consultant has warned.
Sportsmail revealed last month that the top-flight would need to repay £762million to broadcasters if the campaign was cancelled, while around £340m will be due even if the season can be played to a conclusion behind closed doors.
There has been suggested that the rebates are the driving force behind the Premier League's desire to complete the season, even though the coronavirus pandemic continues to claim hundreds of lives in the UK everyday.
