Nobbs doubtful for World Cup after ACL injury

England star Jordan Nobbs could be a doubt for next summer’s World Cup after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament at the weekend.

The midfielder suffered the injury during Arsenal’s 4-0 Women’s Super League win over Everton on Sunday and is likely to miss the rest of the domestic season.

The Women’s World Cup will begin in France on June 7th next year, and a fully fit Nobbs would be expected to start for Phil Neville’s side.
