England star Jordan Nobbs could be a doubt for next summer’s World Cup after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament at the weekend.
The midfielder suffered the injury during Arsenal’s 4-0 Women’s Super League win over Everton on Sunday and is likely to miss the rest of the domestic season.
The Women’s World Cup will begin in France on June 7th next year, and a fully fit Nobbs would be expected to start for Phil Neville’s side.

In a statement made on Monday, Arsenal said: "Following scans this morning, we can confirm that Jordan has suffered an ACL rupture in her left knee and she is now receiving specialist care.
