Everton are reportedly set to miss out on securing the services of Brazilian winger, and namesake, Everton this summer as he edges closer to Benfica.
The Toffees have been tracking the Gremio star for a number of years but reports claim Everton has chosen a move to Portugal rather than the Premier League.
According to Goal, a deal between Everton and Benfica has 'moved a step closer' with the Portuguese giants willing to pay £18million to get a deal done.
It is claimed the Toffees considered bidding for the winger back in the January transfer window but a move failed to materialise.
