Newcastle United have asked about bringing Ademola Lookman back to the Premier League.
The winger has failed to make an impression since joining RB Leipzig from Everton and the Bundesliga side are open to offers.
Newcastle have proposed a loan with view to making the deal permanent in the summer.
Lookman, 22, cost Leipzig around £18m last summer.
The former Everton man was desperate to leave Goodison Park after a lack of games but has seemed to struggle in the German top-flight also.
