Newcastle United are in advanced talks with Saudi events company Sela over a deal worth around £30million to become the club’s main shirt sponsor.
Discussions have been taking place with several potential sponsors in recent months and are expected to conclude in the coming weeks.
Sources say at least three other companies remain in the frame, but Sela are the frontrunner to replace betting firm Fun888 ahead of next season.
The value of the deal is still being finalised - a figure of £25million has been mooted previously - but that looks set to increase following the team’s Champions League qualification.
