The Montreal Impact are set to sign Canadian national team midfielder Mike Petrasso, sources confirmed to Goal on Sunday.
A product of the Toronto FC Academy, Petrasso left Canada in 2013 to sign with Queens Park Rangers. After a series of loan moves, including a two-year stint with Notts County, Petrasso was sidelined by a long-term injury that further limited his ability to break through at QPR.
Petrasso formally left QPR on Friday after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract, which paves the way for the winger to join Montreal for the 2018 season.
