Met Police arrest teenager for racist offence during Tottenham vs Chelsea's Carabao Cup clash

A 17-year-old man was arrested at Wembley prior to Tuesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg between Tottenham and Chelsea for 'a racially aggravated public order offence', the Metropolitan Police said.

Press Association Sport understands the alleged offence was anti-Semitic. The arrest was made at around 7.40pm, 20 minutes prior to kick-off.

A statement from the Met Police's Football Unit on Twitter read: 'Police have arrested a 17 year old male for a racially aggravated public order offence at tonight's @SpursOfficial v @ChelseaFC.

'The male is currently being dealt with at a North London police station.
