Erick Mombaerts has been appointed Melbourne City's new coach with the former Yokohama F.Marinos manager signing a three-deal with the club.
The Frenchman, who also previously coached PSG, Le Havre and France's junior national teams, has been brought in after Warren Joyce departed City following two seasons in charge.
Having previously worked with City Football Group at Yokohama, Mombaerts knows how his side plays football is just as important as silverware.
