Martial strike brings up 100-goal landmark for Man United against Everton

Anthony Martial’s goal for Manchester United against Everton was the 100th the Old Trafford side have scored against their Merseyside rivals in the Premier League.

The Frenchman added a second for Jose Mourinho’s side midway through the second half, with countryman Paul Pogba having netted in the first when he slotted home the rebound to his own penalty, setting up the 2-1 win.

Martial’s effort brought up a milestone figure for the Red Devils, who have become just the second team to hit three figures against the same opponents.

Unhappily for Everton, they were also on the wrong end of a barrage of goals from Arsenal, who have scored 107 times against them – the most that any Premier League side have managed against one of their opponents.
