Marko Arnautovic apologises to West Ham fans for 'letting the team down' after being sent off for elbowing Jack Stephens in their loss to Southampton

Marko Arnautovic issued a grovelling apology to West Ham supporters on Saturday night after he was sent off for a brutal elbow on Jack Stephens.

The Hammers were forced to play the majority of Saturday's defeat to Southampton with 10 men after Arnautovic - the club’s record signing - was shown a straight red card for a horrific elbow on Stephens.

During the game, the Austrian pleaded his innocence but the £20million man quickly realised his mistake.
