Mario Lemina’s first goal in the English Premier League against West Bromwich Albion has been named as Southampton’s Goal of the Month for February.
After enduring a 16-game goalless run in the English top-flight this season, the 24-year-old broke his duck on February 3 as Mauricio Pellegrino’s side fought from behind to defeat the Baggies at the Hawthorns.
Lemina hit a ferocious strike into the top corner from 25 yards to cancel out Ahmed Hegazi's opener for the hosts before Jack Stephens and James Ward-Prowse sealed victory for the Saints.
The midfielder saw off competition from youth players Kayne Ramsay and Sam McQueen to claim the accolade.
