Jose Mourinho has challenged Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw to earn their places at Manchester United after confirming that both players will start against Wigan in Sunday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Old Trafford.
The two 21-year-olds have struggled to win over Mourinho since he succeeded Louis van Gaal in the summer.
Martial spent last weekend in Paris after he was dropped from the squad to play Stoke, with Mourinho insisting that the France winger cannot continue wasting his first-team opportunities.
The United boss will send Martial out against Wigan urging him to show that he deserves to keep his place against Hull City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
