Manchester United will hold talks with Edinson Cavani over his future amid claims the Uruguay star wants to leave Old Trafford for Boca Juniors.
Reports in South America on Monday said Cavani has decided to join the Argentine club on a three-year contract and take a pay cut rather than extend his current deal at United.
The 34-year-old striker signed a short-term contract until the end of the season worth £9million when he arrived at Old Trafford as a free agent on deadline day in October.
It has the option of a 12-month extension which has to be agreed by both parties, and United were planning talks with Cavani and Walter Guglielmone, his agent and brother, before Monday's developments.
