Ralf Rangnick has told Cristiano Ronaldo that no player is bigger than the team following the Portugal star's angry reaction to being substituted at Brentford - and says his decision was justified because substitute Marcus Rashford scored Manchester United's third goal.
Ronaldo made his frustration clear when he was taken off in a double substitution in the 71st minute during United's 3-1 win, and then had to be placated by Rangnick as he sat outside the dug-out.
United's interim manager tried to play down the incident on Friday but made it clear that the team must come first.
