Manchester United's decision to drop Sergio Romero and not allow him to leave for a cut-price fee has left his team-mates disappointed, according to reports.
Romero has started the season as United's fourth-choice goalkeeper behind David De Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant.
The 33-year-old had hoped to leave the club before the Premier League transfer deadline last week but the club refused to let him leave for less than £10million, which put off Everton among other potential suitors.
ESPN report that Romero's team-mates have expressed their disappointment at the goalkeeper's treatment and believe he deserves better after five years at the club.
