Manchester United new boy Nemanja Matic trains with his team-mates for the first time on his birthday as Jose Mourinho's men prepare to face Sampdoria

Nemanja Matic has had no time to get used to life in Manchester as the United new boy has been thrown straight into the thick of things on his 29th birthday.

Manchester United's new £40million signing took part in Tuesday morning's training session as Jose Mourinho put his players through their paces ahead of the Red Devils' final friendly of pre-season.

Mourinho's men face Italian side Sampdoria in Dublin on Wednesday before taking on Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup next Tuesday.
