Manchester City's injured star Gabriel Jesus visits San Carlo restaurant for his mum's birthday as he continues rehabilitation from broken metatarsal

Manchester City's injured wonderkid Gabriel Jesus was out and about on Thursday night, paying a visit to the popular San Carlo restaurant to celebrate his mum's birthday.

The 19-year-old forward, whose spectacular start to life in the Premier League was cruelly cut short when he suffered a metatarsal injury earlier this month, was wearing a protective boot and walking on crutches.

Jesus is currently recovering after undergoing specialist surgery in Barcelona to repair the fracture metatarsal, suffered in City's 2-0 win at Bournemouth on February 13.
