Manchester City face competition from Swansea for Holger Badstuber, with former Bayern Munich assistant Paul Clement keen to be reunited with the German defender.
Badstuber favours a loan move to City this month having previously worked with Pep Guardiola at Bayern.
The Bundesliga club are prepared to let the 27-year-old leave despite learning that Jerome Boateng will be out of action until the start of March, but want Badstuber to play as much as possible.
Clement took over as Swansea manager last week after working as No 2 to Guardiola's successor Carlo Ancelotti in Munich, and wants Badstuber to help their fight against relegation.
