Manchester City's influential midfielder David Silva is set to miss the club's warm-weather training trip to Dubai to spend more time with his prematurely-born son, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.
Since the birth of his son, Silva has been sporadically in and out of the City team as he travels to and from Valencia to be with his family.
The Spaniard will be available for Monday night's game against Stoke but will not travel with his team-mates to Dubai next weekend, as Guardiola seizes the opportunity of a break in schedule to train in the United Arab Emirates.
