Manchester United 'should run a mile' from Mauricio Pochettino after Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League humiliation, according to Paul Merson.
Pochettino could only watch on in horror as his PSG side surrendered a two-goal aggregate lead to lose to Real Madrid in midweek as their dreams of winning Europe's top prize became dust.
The Argentine is among the frontrunners to become United's next permanent manager in the summer with his tenure at PSG almost certainly coming to a close.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Co surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 on aggregate
But Merson believes Pochettino would be the wrong appointment as United desperately try and bridge the growing gap between themselves and rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
