Man United legend's son makes first senior appearance for seventh tier side - a day after joining on loan from Premier League outfit

The son of Manchester United a great has made his first team debut for non league side Havant and Waterlooville.

Rio Ferdinand's goalkeeper son Lorenz is on the books at Brighton but joined the Hawks for the remainder of the season this week.

The seventh-tier side play in the Southern League Premier Division South, where they sit sixth in the table.

Ferdinand Jr's wait for a first senior appearance didn't long as he started in Saturday's trip to Marlow.

After sealing the teenager's transfer on Friday, a club statement said: 'Havant and Waterlooville Football Club are thrilled to announce that goalkeeper Lorenz Ferdinand has joined on work experience from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion for the remainder of the season!
