Manchester City defender Cameron Humphreys is joining Belgian side Zulte Waregem after taking advice from his former captain Vincent Kompany.
The 20-year old, who made his debut for City against Aston Villa in 2016, is leaving on a free transfer and will be unveiled by the Belgian club on Saturday afternoon.
Though well regarded by City's coaching staff, Humphreys' pathway to the first team has remained congested with the quality of players in their squad and, after speaking to Kompany, the England U19 international has decided to follow the recent trend of playing abroad with the long term aim of returning to the Premier League.
