One of Vincent Kompany's final acts as Manchester City captain was to teach Oleksandr Zinchenko the art of defending.
Kompany, who became Anderlecht player-manager earlier this summer, often took the Ukrainian back out on to the pitches after training for extra sessions.
The pair worked on Zinchenko's positioning as the 22-year-old fine-tuned his understanding of the unfamiliar left back role.

Zinchenko — who believes he goes into the new season as Pep Guardiola's premier left back — was reduced to tears when Kompany told the squad he was leaving City in the minutes after lifting the FA Cup at Wembley.
