Lloris: World Cup successes can boost 'hungry' Tottenham

The France skipper believes that those who missed out on lifting the biggest trophy of them all in Russia will be key to Spurs' fortunes this term

World Cup winning goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is looking to bring "positive energy" to Tottenham this season and believes that his English and Belgian team-mates will be even hungrier for success following their near misses in Russia.

While Lloris was key for the France in their run to the World Cup title, keeping a clean sheet against Belgium in the semi-final before coming up with a number of top saves as his side ran out 4-2 winners over Croatia in the final, several of his team-mates came up just short of the main goal in Russia.
