Liverpool's Mohamed Salah was rejected by most Premier League sides and only Hull and Stoke expressed an interest... he would have cost £2.5m

Mohamed Salah might be setting the Premier League alight — but the majority of the division once turned down the chance to sign him for just £2.5million.

The Egyptian winger scored a stunning goal from 35-yards against Manchester City on Sunday, helping to end their unbeaten start to the campaign. It was his 18th goal in the league this season.

He wasn't always a star forward though, and prior to joining Basel in 2012 he was rejected by nearly every team in the Premier League.
