Newcastle United are in talks to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge on loan for the rest of the season, reports The Times .
Sturridge is looking to play regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup and the England international was a target for Inter Milan.
However, he could now join up with former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez at Newcastle, who are likely to have to pay Sturridge’s £120,000-a-week wages and a £1.5 million loan fee.
Paris Saint-Germain remain reluctant to part with Javier Pastore but will sanction a transfer if the terms are right, claims his agent.
