Supporters caught singing deplorable chants referencing the Hillsborough and Munich disasters will be thrown out of Anfield on Monday night.
There will be a zero-tolerance attitude towards the sort of scenes which blighted Liverpool and Manchester United’s Europa League ties last season - and an increased police presence is expected around the ground before and after the clash.
Police chiefs are mindful of the potential for trouble, particularly given the ugly scenes earlier this year when illicit chanting and fighting marred the two fixtures.
Problems centred on noises from the crowd, with United slurs about the 1989 Hillsborough tragedy - when 96 Liverpool supporters died watching the FA Cup semi-final - widely condemned after the first leg.
