Wayne Rooney converted a 77th-minute penalty kick as Everton made a mockery of Liverpool's Merseyside derby dominance to rescue an unlikely 1-1 draw.
Liverpool had 79 per cent of possession and registered 23 shots to Everton's three, but the locals rivals were forced to settle for a point apiece after Rooney cancelled out Mohamed Salah's first-half opener.
