Leicester full-back Ricardo Pereira out for rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury in Aston Villa rout

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Ricardo Pereira sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the 4-0 win over Aston Villa and will miss the remainder of the season.

The full-back has been one of the stars of the season for the Foxes but the Portuguese now faces the possibility of not featuring again in 2019-20, including at Euro 2020.

'We've got Ricardo Pereira who will be out for the rest of the season,' Rodgers said on Thursday.

'He had a challenge and has hurt his ACL.
