Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury 'has been charged with drink-driving' and will appear in court next month.
The former Premier League star, 26, was stopped by police in south Nottingham in the early hours of the morning last Friday.
It is understood that he refused to take a breathalyser test and was arrested at the scene, The Sun revealed.
He was then charged later with driving while over the alcohol limit, driving without due care and failing to cooperate with a preliminary breathalyser test.
Choudhury, who is paid £50,000-a-week by the Foxes, is currently on unconditional bail and will appear in court for the first time next month.
