Marco Silva's side took an early lead against their fellow strugglers, but Christian Fuchs and Riyad Mahrez struck to secure a vital win
Leicester City carried on their good run of form since firing Claudio Ranieri when they beat Hull City 3-1 to boost their hopes of survival.
Off the back of their recent win over Liverpool, Leicester did not start too well as it was the Tigers who went 1-0 up just 14 minutes in when Kamil Grosicki charged forward and cut back for Sam Clucas to send into the net.
Leicester fought back later on in the half though through Christian Fuchs, who ended a move he started when he smashed Jamie Vardy's pass beyond Eldin Jakupovic.
