Leicester caretaker boss Michael Appleton says he is unsure if Carabao Cup win over Leeds was last in charge: 'I'm expecting to take the team on Sunday but things can change quickly'

Michael Appleton made it two wins in as many matches against Leeds in the Carabao Cup but he is unsure if it will be his last game as Leicester caretaker manager.

Appleton, in charge since Craig Shakespeare was sacked a week ago, said after overseeing Tuesday night's 3-1 victory that he expected to remain in charge for the Premier League visit of Everton on Sunday - as things stand.

However, the 41-year-old has not spoken to the club's Thai owners since Friday and acknowledges how quickly the situation could change with Leicester having held talks with prospective candidates - most notably former Southampton boss Claude Puel.
