Leeds United’s impressive start to the Championship season has been rewarded with Marcelo Bielsa and Kemar Roofe winning the EFL Manager and Player of the Month awards for August, respectively.
The Whites enjoyed a near-perfect August, sitting top and playing scintillating football in their victories over Stoke City, Derby County, Rotherham United and Norwich City, while recording creditable draws against Swansea City and Middlesbrough.
The one blight on their copy-book was a much-changed side's 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup to Preston North End, having beaten Bolton Wanderers in the previous round.
