LaLiga president warns Premier League must resume by mid-May to meet UEFA deadline to finish season

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has said that Europe's top domestic competitions including the Premier League has to restart by the middle of May.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to the suspension of all club football, and the Premier League's 20 teams unanimously agreed to extend their shutdown until April 30.

However UEFA have currently set a deadline of June 30, for European leagues to complete all their domestic competitions.

LaLiga president Tebas who is part of a UEFA working committee also involving the Premier League, claims European leagues must return to action by mid-May to meet the end of June deadline.
