The Manchester City captain suffered yet another injury against Swansea City and the club is still unsure how long he will spend on the sidelines.
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will undergo further tests this weekend after being diagnosed with muscle fatigue in his groin.
Kompany left the pitch in stoppage time of City's 2-1 victory against Swansea City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, in what was his first appearance since picking up a thigh problem back in May.
The Belgian missed much of last season with calf problems and it was feared that he had suffered a recurrence at the Liberty Stadium.
