With his side trailing 2-1 at St James' Park after an electric first half, De Bruyne was brought on in the second half for goalscorer Bernardo Silva.
Within a handful of touches the Belgian star had found the back of the net to fire his side level with Eddie Howe's Newcastle.
On just his fifth touch, the Belgian playmaker found the back of the net and minutes later secured an assist to bag the win for his Manchester City side on the road.
