Kalvin Phillips 'is being monitored by top Champions League side', with out of favour Manchester City midfielder 'likely' to leave the club in January transfer window

Kalvin Phillips could be offered a way out of Manchester City via another European giant, according to a report.

Phillips has endured a difficult time with the Treble winners since signing for the club for £42million from Leeds a little over a year ago.

Tipped to be a vital player for the club and, if nothing more, an understudy to Rodri, the England midfielder has made just five starts for City, with a further 21 appearances coming from the bench.

His stock has dropped dramatically since leaving Leeds, where he was arguably the most important player before their relegation from the Premier League.
