Mamadou Sakho's exile from the Liverpool team will continue after Jurgen Klopp revealed the defender is not in the physical condition to play a competitive game.
Klopp is expected to make a number of changes to his side for the EFL Cup clash against Derby at the iPro Stadium, with Roberto Firmino expected to be recalled after missing the 2-1 win at Chelsea on Friday with a very minor groin problem.
But Liverpool's manager will not include Sakho in his plans, even though he has been back training with the first-team squad for the past fortnight.
Sakho rejected a number of moves ahead of the transfer window closing, after being told that he could leave on loan.
