Jurgen Klopp leapt to Alberto Moreno’s defence on Thursday in the wake of stinging criticism this week.
Gary Neville was the most high-profile pundit to suggest the Spaniard is Liverpool’s weak link after a error-strewn display at Arsenal.
The 24-year-old conceded a penalty at the Emirates, with Neville labelling the challenge on Theo Walcott ‘absolute garbage’ before adding: ‘You might as well start a goal down with him at left back.’
But Klopp is shutting off outside noise and claimed the only person Moreno has to impress is the manager himself.
