Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain faces an anxious wait to discover the severity of the injury that cast a shadow over what Jurgen Klopp called a very good day for Liverpool.
The midfielder, who scored the crucial second goal in his side's 3-0 win, played in the position that usually belongs to Mo Salah, high up on the right, and proved an able deputy with a polished performance.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose Anfield career has been punctured by a series of fitness issues, was forced off six minutes after scoring having rolled his ankle.
He immediately gestured to the bench that he was not able to continue and Klopp gave him a consoling pat on the neck as he went straight down the tunnel.
