Juan Mata has revealed his crucial role inside the Manchester United dressing room, with the veteran playmaker welcoming both new arrivals and youngsters into the first team.
The 31-year-old is one of the oldest players at Old Trafford, and believes that he is capable of setting an example as United undertake their long-term rebuild.
Mata also believes that boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer values his contribution in helping new additions settle in, with the midfielder remaining heavily involved with the set-up at the club and hungry for silverware.
The former Chelsea star penned a new contract with United in the summer, but has largely been forced to settle with a bit part role, but Mata, who has been at the club for six years, reveals his influence now extends off the field.
