John Terry's final Chelsea farewell has split opinion right down the middle... so was it an act of self-indulgence or fitting for a club legend?

Just as he did throughout his career, John Terry split opinion right down the middle during his final farewell.

The Chelsea captain said goodbye to Stamford Bridge on Sunday as he called time on his 22 years in west London.

The big problem for some? He didn't wait for full-time for his last hurrah; instead he asked to be subbed off in the 26th minute, when opponents Sunderland purposely kicked the ball out of play and his team-mates formed a guard of honour to usher him off the pitch.

So, was it the work of an egomaniac, or entirely deserving for a man who has given his sporting life to Chelsea?
