Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare has revealed how he talked striker Jamie Vardy out of quitting football to become a party rep in Ibiza.
Vardy is now a Premier League champion and a 16-cap England international, but in the summer of 2013 he found himself at his lowest ebb after a tough season and was considering ending his football career to head to the Spanish party island.
He had scored just five goals for the Foxes in his first Championship season following his move from Fleetwood, but Shakespeare, former manager Nigel Pearson and recruitment chief Steve Walsh convinced him to stay in the game.
