Football fans have mocked Chelsea for giving new signing Benoit Badiashile a seven-and-a-half year deal - highlighting how such a long contract can cause significant problems down the line.
Graham Potter's side confirmed the £35million signing of the 21-year-old on Thursday after reaching an agreement to sign him earlier this week.
The Blues have been looking for a left-sided centre-back since the summer and were unable to agree a deal with RB Leipzig for the Croatian World Cup star Josko Gvardiol.
