Patrice Evra has hit back at Donny van de Beek's agent after he hit out at the midfielder's lack of playing time at Manchester United.
The Dutch midfielder joined United for £40million from Ajax in the summer and fans were excited to see him line up alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's midfield.
But the 23-year-old has yet to make a start in the Premier League, and his agent Sjaak Swart was furious he is only appearing as a substitute.
Van de Beek also started on the bench for United in Sunday's match against Tottenham, but former United left-back Evra said while everyone understands his disappointment, the club have shown they do not 'really need' the midfielder's services.
